Florence Baths

Having read the reviews, I was hesitant to go. But it was a rainy Sunday afternoon and I decided to give it a try. When I got there at about 4:30, it was crowded. Guys started leaving after that. I would go earlier next time. The crowd was mixed ages 30’s - 70’s. There were handful of hot men. They were generally and not standoffish as I’ve seen in other Italian bath houses. It was clean — I have no complaints with the hygiene. The facilities were old. But it had some character. If I were in town on a Sunday, I would definitely go back.

Sono stato presso la Florence baths durante la settimana un po' scoraggiato dalle recensioni ma il posto non è così male ,certo la struttura non è nuova ma mi hanno detto che hanno fatto da poco una sala nuova .C erano un po' di turisti con i quali mi sono divertito molto .personale accogliente e ambiente rilassato.ci tornerò

Je n'ai pas apprécié de devoir montrer ma carte d'identité à l'accueil, en tant que non italien. ils m'ont dit que c'était pour la Police, bonjour la confiance... Pour le restant, les équipements étaients corrects.

I visited this place last month as I was on vacation in Florence. I'm French and they asked me to show my ID-CARD at the entrance, "for the Police" as they said. They made a copy of the document. I was very disappointed because it never happened to me in other countries such as Germany, Switzerland or Belgium. If you are not Italian, it might happen to you too.

I do not know in which country others who have left reviews are slipping into... For me it was a pleasant opportunity to relax and meet, I found it clean, interesting and also qualitatively superior to other much more famous European sauna let. I recommend and I and to change your mind in the event you didn't like it! Gironparecchio and the Florence Bath passes the exam with full marks 4.5 out of 5! Keep it up Guys!

I read here a lot of bad reviews but I through to discover it selves last saterday. But it’s more than true! Florence baths smelth not good. I leave within an hour and come never back.

Empty, dirty, old and expensive.

I was there on Sunday with a cute guy called Gianni and it was nice.

La sauna è fatiscente più di quanto non lo fosse in passato. Un controllo dell’ufficio d’igiene sarebbe necessario. La sporcizia diffusa è notoria e conosciuta da molti che l’hanno abbandonata dopo averla frequentata pazientemente negli anni. La sauna finlandese ha ora dei semplici pezzi di legno traballanti su parti di pietra (perché prima era sauna a vapore). Idem e peggio quella a vapore. Non viene-verosimilmente-MAI-pulita con un centogradi alla fine del servizio come si fa in saune curate (a Milano per esempio), odora di muffa e urina, non c’è ricambio vero di aria. Che la gente ci faccia di tutto d’accordo, ma comunque basta controllare e PULIRE. Le persone non si tolgono gli asciugamani e le ciabatte entrando, addirittura si vedono persone in costume, che come noto è antigenico. Lo staff passa con le scarpe ovunque (quando dovrebbero avere almeno delle ciabatte apposite), spesso lo fanno anche i frequentanti. Malgrado il divieto c’è chi porta bottiglie (di vetro o no) negli ambienti. Il popper gira alla grande ed è venduto sottobanco. I bagni sono sempre con problemi idraulici e per terra è bagnato per perdite. I cestini non vengono svuotati quasi mai a ore prefissate. Il personale anziché girare per controllo, anche di ciò che accade, se la passa comoda. Ovviamente ci sono persone cariche di parassiti, ma questo sta a loro, anche se ovviamente è possibile il contagio indiretto da poltrone e divani mal o mai puliti. Il bar è ridicolo. Quando piove vi sono molteplici punti in cui scende l’acqua dal tetto (bar, piano superiore, piano intermedio). Nonostante il divieto girano i cellulari (anche da parte dello staff, con alcuni degli addetti che si siedono, vestiti e con scarpe sulle panche di legno del disimpegno-corridoio di passo per tirare il tempo). Le docce spesso non funzionano. Gli armadietti sono vecchi e luridi. I miglioramenti sono decennali e per modo di dire. La clientela è dai 20 ai 70 con una inclinazione oltre i 50.

ho letto tanti commenti negativi...............a me non pare...mi sono trovato bene e continuero ad andarci!!!!!!!!!

Sono stato in sauna dopo diversi anni,l'ho trovata molto più pulita,saune totalmente nuove e tutto funzionante ...compresi i clienti :))

The guy at the front desk is so rude, I had to ask my money back and leave the place. He treated me like garbage just because I'm not sure about my foot size number in Europe.

Un posto pieno di sporcizia. Firenze meriterebbe un posto almeno decoroso. Che vergogna e che schifo. Ma l'asl non fa mai controlli.

Really enjoyed my time it was relaxing, loved the Barnsley chop.

Very clean, very "clinic" (too much in fact). No sling or this kind of kinky facility. Quite empty around 22:00. A lot of shy guys, one bear friendly. Sad day in firenze

ok. let's first say that a 1am closing time pretty much places this place off-limits for anyone who wants to spend some time in a gay spa after a night out on the town. I would propose that the closing time eliminates about 90% of their intended target audience, and is no wonder that this and other gay establishments have struggled in Florence. Florence, the gayest city in the world(!), but so sadly backward and locked into last century's 1960's morals.

I have visited this sauna many times over the years, and although it's not the cleanest, or best-equipped, they are gradually improving facilities. Surely, it is like most saunas, in that it's hit or miss.. as to the number of guys there on your visit, their age range, etc. I've had some great fun, and although I've never had a massage here, the Russian masseur is very sexy and often up for fun!

In una città ti aspetteresti altro. All'ingresso: gente scortese, aspetto trasandato e sporco. Dentro: freddo (a novembre gli split buttano aria fredda); bagno turco fuori uso; tv fuori uso; vasca sporca; sciatta e sporca un po' ovunque

Well i went there a few times in the past. Its a hit and miss. First of all they charge you enough already and sometimes they try to sell you a association fee . Which is almost mandatory in gay clubs. (a membership ) good for one. Just tell them you are passing buy. Place is more on the dirty side. Definately wear slippers and wipe those beds before laying down. I had fun a few times, Overall its ok.

The pool, hammam, bubblebath and sauna were nice. As a nordic person I found the sauna not particularly hot, but given what activities there might be in there I guess it's understandable. Clean and relatively modern with changing colour of light here and there - makes a calm athmosphere. Cruising area not too big, two TVs with fine porn, but only one had seating area. Not too many people, not around midnight on an august saturday night anyway. I'm willing to give it a go once more! I was charged 18euros... a bit pricey, but nice guy in the reception ^^ One could even buy toys there :P

If u ask how many ppl are inside at the entrance they will tell u 200 when there are 2 ppl effectively. It costs 15 euro to get in but apparently there is a paper on the walls all over the sauna that says "everyday after 11pm only 11 euro"...small, dirty, unsafe, empty.

I am Italian and I can say with no doubt that it is one of the worst sauna in Italy: filthy, old, with even older crowd. My advice is to avoid at all cost.

The reviews before are not really real. I've been there lately and everything was in great condition. The sauna is really very clean now and renewed. I had a great time, for any kind of men, young guys and older. The staff is really very nice and helping. I advise !!

One would expect more in Florence. Dirty, it is the first word that comes into ones mind. They clean it, well, they cleaned it while people were there, so imagine using wet sauna. Not very crowded. The facilities are OK, though not many places to relax. Cruising area is pretty large. People advising slippers are totally right :)

Went there a couple years ago, don't know if its improved since then but I found it to be a bit dirty and difficult to find your way around, doubt I'll go back on my future trip to Florence.

Not very clean, even though they give you slippers. Not many people, mostly old. Cruising area pretty large, though not very well designed. The guy, who was cleaing, did it during openning hours and used such detergents, that steam sauna was full of... well, not water steam. Not good sauna, not good place in Florence
