The Japanese are experts when it comes to maximising space. The Green Plaza Shinjuku offers simple yet functional sleeping capsules for men only - each with LCD TV, radio and alarm clock. Bathrooms are shared, and lockers are available for luggage.

Facilities include a spa with sauna and large hot pool, restaurant, public lounge with internet PC's and TV, massage service and laundromat. WiFi is free in some areas.

Anyone with a tattoo (however small) or who appears drunk will not be admitted. You can book more than one night but must check out each day.

Located next to the Seibu Shinjuku station, within walking distance to the lively Kabuki-cho district and the Ni-Chome gay nightlife.
