Good buffet, excellent location, beautiful place.

Good room, good location and newly updated breakfast with buffet - especially good cocktails.

I stayed at the Golden Banana for ten days in September 2017 and found it to be a clean, well maintained property. The Staff was friendly and always willing to help and the food in the Restaurant, while not "Fine Dining" was was tasty and plentiful. The Hotel is under new (Western) Management as of August 2017 and they are steadily renovating the property as it had fallen into disrepair in the past year. The Men's Only Sauna was fairly active in the early evenings (even in low season) with a mixture of Hotel Guests and local Khmers. The Hotel is less than five minutes walk to Pub Street and it's Bars & restaurants. I look forward to returning again, soon.

Myself and 2 other friends have been for the weekend, unfortunately it was not as we expected. Rooms with musty smell and the service was far from what they try to sale on the ads. Sometimes better pay a bit more for not be deceived. We took our dinner and drinks on RAMBUTAN which is next door and make our stay easier, good selection of wines, amazing service and food. Very simply, GO AND CHECK BY YOURSELF, it will not cost you anything even because they face each other, the difference is clear ONCE YOU STEP IN.

The hotel caters to families, singles, gays, etc. The staff is friendly and helpful. Some don't speak English but they will find a staff member who does. Rooms are quite large, breakfast is great and the price of rooms is moderate. Do NOT confuse this place with the Boutique which is next door and MUCH pricier and not worth the extra money.
