As a well traveled guy please please don't waste your money here. The hotel is terrible in every aspect. They go on and on telling you give them a second chance but that's been their standard childish response for years. Don't be tempted - you WILL be dissapointed and have thrown your hard earned money away.

After many times in Germany we decided to go for a gay hotel. First of all, the staff at the counter is slow and unprofessional. the whole hotel is outdated and can use a makeover. Rooms are very small and there is no space to put clothes or other stuff. Also the room was very dusty. Finally, the second day the sauna did not work. When we wanted to check out there was nobody at the reception, we waited a while and left our cards at the counter. Bye axel, till never again!

My partner and I planned our romantic long weekend in Berlin to celebrate the 50 years of Stonewall in the 28th of June demonstration there, a couple of gay destinations and many expectations of tranquility and joy. Everything was ruined thanks to the team and management of Axel Berlin. To summarize, 3 rooms in 18 hours, total lack of empathy, efficiency, professionalism and respect for the customer, rooms not checked before guests checking in (and I don't mean the lack of gel of a missing robe, I mean a functional toilet you are paying for or a window to breathe fresh air! which we were accused in writing by the manager of breaking that ourselves) and a manager who only is available for funded complains in the third day and promise sorting the bill for our departure and end up overcharging 70€ over the solution agreed, lying the customer on the phone and accusing them of "misunderstanding the good will of the hotel" (paraphrasing our conversation on the phone). Now, if you think that Axel Berlin is a good choice for your holidays, think twice. At least you want to be robbed, lied, humiliated and your romantic holidays ruined by this hotel and (unless the brand take measures in this matter) a whole brand that sells itself as a gay shelter when they don't actually care about any value apart from overcharging their guests. Axel Hotels? Never again. And do not even try to complain in writing or you will be accused of vandalism. An utter joke.

Next year to come, I would like to be there again.. at Axel Hotel in Berlin.

Returned yesterday after a three days stay, well, as I said, never again. Tiny room with no closet, it was "cleaned" once at 6 p. m. (bot the staines on the floor were stille there). There is no bar, breakfast without a buffet, quality of the choices extremely poor.Personal totally unprepared. All that for 150 euro pro night. Never again!
